Almost all young children love the water, the Ambassador was no exception. The Ambassador was very fond of main water and bath. One of the first activities and speech acquisition is bathing.
"Ndi ndi......" so the Ambassador referred to the bathroom while preparing to take the towels and toiletries as well as invites to the bathroom.
Activities in the bathroom is one of our favorite activities with Ambassadors. Many of the stimulus can be done while playing in the bathroom. We did it early on and the more intensive after the Envoy could walk upright and balance is relatively good.
Here are some of the activities that we do together Ambassadors:
- solicitation and other commands (to understand simple commands)
- switch on and off bathroom lights (learn cause-effect)
- turn on and turn off the water faucets (learn cause-effect, hand-motor)
- play with the hose spray water (learn cause-effect, control of water and air direction)
- moving in the bathroom (physical balance)
After ambassadors of the rather large (1.5 years):
bathe in a bucket (physical balance)
play duck/planes in the air (to know objects, colors, counting, and so on).
For us, all that activity was studied, although its shape looks just like playing games.
