Still related to the spirit of learning in a virtual world. Overnight Yudhis got the chance to follow the "lecture" open Prof. Zeppo Romano. In the real world, Prof. Zeppo was a Professor of Geology from Illinois State University, originally named William Edward Shields/Bill Shields.
The Program called "Ask the Expert" was initiated by the Geology Department from Illinois State University. In this program, experts invited will dedicate his time to answer the questions of children. The children are free to ask about anything related to the topic discussed.
The topic of the night was about "water". A very spirited Yudhis following his first "lecture" had been ready since 19.00 (his own starting at 21.00) and spent time waiting for College to study building in Happy Hippo in the water and learn about Geo Island.
I was deliberately let Yudhis exploration itself, even following the event on its own. I only accompanied him while playing with the Ambassador. He moans when the sound is started and then attended Prof. Zeppo and Ms. Ines began to sound in the speakers, "you understand, son?" I said. "i really understand mom..." she replied. Hmmm ... turns out he's been great. When the new-born child was feeling yesterday.
Yudhis indeed familiar reading tutorials or follow the United Kingdom speaking lessons from video/United Kingdom-speaking TV channel. But the process is passive, only one direction. He also often follow class building in SL which is also speaking in United Kingdom, but usually the text only (his teacher just type not talk). This lecture was the experience of interacting with the great teachers in the United Kingdom who teaches with a completely new talk had happened overnight.
I can't force them to make inquiries, turns out its own spirit Yudhis ask up to 3 questions (in fact a lot more if he doesn't hesitate with the other participants).
Overall, the event last night was interesting. Among the precious things (outside of lesson content) is an opportunity for children to keep the spirit as well as bold and can ask questions.
The ability to ask is a great skill in the learning process. Let alone the dedicated forum using English United Kingdom (which is not a language our everyday conversation) and his teacher "foreigners".
Also, that is not less important is to learn how to ask good, appreciated the way teachers and others who had given him a chance/help.
Last night I saw an incredible enthusiasm Yudhis. She looks very much enjoyed the show last night, so it didn't stop his father confided to the new home of nothing that he "get" from Prof. Zeppo. Playing well, because this process is done online, the atmosphere is very relaxing and "child-friendly". Yudhis follow rocking-rocking while in his seat (hold your excitement) with short pants. .. hehe:)
It feels weird, seeing children aged 9 years with crackling passion tells about the cool stuff of study with a professor and a patient, his sentence was "Sir, good teacher, patient, willing to answer all the questions even if that question you've ever asked". Then she told me about her questions asked above and the answer and so on and so on. .. continue to ... ... When the time is late late at night.
Indeed, studying it when done with a joyful heart that will create tremendous energy surge. Thanks ya Ines for his chance, thank you Prof. Zeppo to make this program initiative. Hopefully this program will go on up to the more chance the kids to ask questions directly to expert:)
